Inflation in the USA amounted to 2.8 per cent in February, which can be compared to a price increase rate on an annual basis of 3.0 per cent the month before, according to official statistics.
The collective economic circle had on average counted on an inflation of 2.9 per cent.
The so-called core inflation, i.e. excluding food and energy, amounted to 3.1 per cent (3.3 per cent the month before).
