The majority of the complaints concern the program leader Edvin Törnblom's sex joke in the third semifinal of Melodifestivalen. His joke about spraying champagne has been reported 63 times to the Review Board.
I don't have much to say about it except that people are unusually sensitive today, says Edward af Sillén, who wrote the script, to DN.
The last time Melodifestivalen received over 100 complaints was in 2016, when 300 viewers reported a middle act where the Swedish national anthem was given a new text.
Over the past ten years, Melodifestivalen has been convicted twice by the Review Board.
