Unions secretly issue warnings in Tesla conflict

The cat and mouse game between the unions and Tesla continues. In secret, the trade unions Seko and ST have notified the electric car giant of further postal blockade to prevent Tesla from obtaining registration plates from the Transport Agency, writes LO newspaper Labour.

When the unions have tried to block the addresses where Tesla has announced that they want to put up their signs, the company responds by announcing new addresses.

In normal cases, the unions usually beat the big drum when a conflict warning is issued. That has not happened this time.

The chief negotiator of ST, Åsa Erba Stenhammar, confirms to Arbetet that the unions have issued warnings.

We have regular contact with the Transport Agency to see if Tesla has obtained any new addresses and when they have, we issue new warnings, she says to the newspaper.

If the warnings are issued secretly, it may become more difficult for Tesla to circumvent the new conflict measures, which must still be reported to the Mediation Institute.

The underlying conflict is about IF Metall wanting to sign a collective agreement with Elon Musk's electric car giant, something the company does not want.
