Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj says that three people were killed in a Russian attack on vehicles from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Committee confirms the deaths.
"Today, the occupant attacked the vehicles of the International Red Cross's humanitarian mission in Donetsk province", the President states.
Three Ukrainian citizens who worked for the ICRC were killed and two others injured, according to Ukraine's Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets.
"I strongly condemn attacks on Red Cross personnel", says Mirjana Spoljaric, head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in a statement, adding that they mourn the colleagues who were killed.
The attack took place in the village of Viroljubivka, which is located about ten kilometers from the front line in Donetsk.
