According to healthcare sources, among other things, twelve bodies have been taken to Shifa hospital in Gaza City from a distribution site for emergency aid near the Netzarim corridor.
Two parents and their three children are also said to have been killed in an air strike against their home in central Gaza.
Around Khan Yunis in northern Gaza, three people are said to have been killed and several injured in the same family when a drone attacked several refugee tents. A woman and her mother are also said to have been killed.
Too little food
Almost a week has passed since the Israeli military (IDF) allowed other countries to drop supplies over Gaza from planes – after images of starvation increased the international pressure on the Israeli government.
But at the same time, the UN, individual countries, and many aid organizations claim that far too little food is being delivered – while supplies are piling up outside the border, waiting to be allowed in by land.
According to the health department of the terrorist-stamped Hamas, a further seven Palestinians have died of starvation in the last 24 hours, including a child.
Met relatives
US envoy Steve Witkoff – who on Friday visited the heavily criticized Israeli-American organization Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) food distribution site in southern Gaza – has met with relatives of the hostages taken by Hamas in the terrorist attack in southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
Witkoff was met with some applause and pleas for help from hundreds of demonstrators in Tel Aviv before meeting with the families in a closed meeting.
Yotam Cohen, brother of 21-year-old hostage Nimrod Cohen, spoke with the news agency AFP:
– The war must end. The Israeli government will not end it voluntarily. It has refused to do so.
