Ukraine's military confirms that they are behind the sinking of a ferry in Russian Kavkaz, after Russia claimed on Thursday that the ferry was sunk in a Ukrainian air attack.
According to Ukraine, the ferry was carrying weapons and fuel to the Crimean Peninsula.
Another military object has been destroyed. The ferry sank and the harbor cannot be used until the ferry has been removed, says Ukraine's naval spokesperson Dmytro Pletentsjuk on Ukrainian TV, according to NTB.
According to the Russian state news agency Tass, a fire is still burning on Friday at the Kavkaz harbor, which is located in the eastern part of the Kerch Strait and is one of Russia's largest harbors on the Black Sea.
Some ferry traffic in the area has been stopped due to the attack, Russia announced on Friday.
