A villa is on fire in Viksjöfors in Ovanåker municipality, reports P4 Gävleborg. Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance and parts of the building have collapsed.
The fire is reportedly fully developed and the villa cannot be saved. The rescue service is working to limit the spread to nearby buildings.
The rescue service has decided to evacuate the neighbors due to the area being relatively densely populated, according to SVT Gävleborg.
A temporary command center has been set up at the school in Viksjöfors, where nearby residents can get information about the fire and the ongoing extinguishing work, says Emil Berggren at the rescue service to SVT.
The extent of the injuries to those taken to hospital is still unclear.
