The police have investigated two suspected dangerous objects at different locations in Malmö on Sunday. According to information from the scene, they are said to be two similar thermoses.

The first object was discovered on Ekgatan in the Rosengård district at around 11:30 am on Sunday.

The National Bomb Squad has investigated the object and it is not explosive, says Evelina Olsson, the police's press spokesperson.

The incident is classified as preparation for general destruction.

Another suspected dangerous object was discovered about two hours later on Björneborgsgatan, also in Rosengård.

Residents at the address were evacuated, but later the National Bomb Squad determined the object to be harmless.

In recent days, several dangerous objects have been found in the city. During the night leading up to Friday, an explosion occurred outside a restaurant in central Malmö. The same night, three dangerous objects were also neutralized in the city.

It is currently unclear whether there is any connection between the different incidents.

That's something an investigator will have to answer. You have to look at whether people are connected to each other and if there are threat images, it's a deeper work.
