A man and a woman have been killed in a rocket attack on the Israeli-annexed area of the Golan Heights, according to Israeli police, as reported by Times of Israel.
The two Israeli civilians were traveling in a car when they were hit by one of around 40 rockets fired by the Lebanon-based Shia militia Hezbollah, according to the police. Hezbollah claims to have targeted a military base in the vicinity.
Earlier on Tuesday, two people were killed in Syria in an Israeli drone attack on a Hezbollah vehicle, according to the London-based Syrian Human Rights Observatory (SOHR). A Hezbollah source told AFP that a former bodyguard of Shia militia leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in the attack.
Israel and the militia group Hezbollah have been shelling each other almost daily since the Gaza War began as a result of the terrorist-designated Hamas attack on Israel in October last year.
