The damage is described as "enormous" by Montenegrin authorities.
The storm on the Balkan Peninsula follows a heat wave that recently swept through the region and caused several forest fires.
In Greece, they are fully occupied with keeping the forest fires under control – and for the third year in a row, they are now bringing in firefighting personnel from other countries. On Monday and Tuesday, 36 forest fires broke out across the country.
Around 240 firefighters from Bulgaria, Malta, Moldova, and Romania will, according to Greek authorities, work in the country from early July to September. The group from Bulgaria has already been stationed in Thessaloniki.
