Two people were arrested by the police after security guards raised suspicions and a control was made of several individuals at Stockholm Central Station early on Sunday evening, which Aftonbladet first reported. Prosecutor Filippa Henkow confirms at lunchtime on Monday that there are detainees in the case.
There have been detentions, she says.
She does not want to go into more details about how many are detained or what the suspicions are.
It's a very early stage, she says.
It was around 6 pm on Sunday when security guards saw something and then assisted the police.
We have controlled individuals. Then two people were arrested with equipment on them that they are not allowed to have, said Ola Österling, press spokesperson at the police, to Aftonbladet.
It is said to have involved some kind of weapon parts, according to Österling.
According to information to Aftonbladet, one of the individuals is said to have had a weapon magazine and a bag with cash. Ammunition was then found on a nearby street.
