According to the prosecutor, his appeal was a precautionary measure.

If the other parties had appealed, I would have wanted the court of appeal to also try the acquitted boy's guilt, says Tomas Olvmyr to Ystads Allehanda.

But no one who was convicted of the murder in Skurup appealed.

Three other boys were sentenced by the district court for involvement in the murder. Since they had not turned 15 at the time of the crime, no punishment was imposed.

The police investigation has shown that the boys had been hired for a revenge action after the 56-year-old's son had come into conflict with a criminal gang with connections to the Foxtrot network.

According to the district court, the plan was to kill "all men in the residence". Two sons in the house had gone home just 40 minutes earlier.

The fatal shooting occurred in Skurup in August last year.
