After a period with somewhat unstable weather, the mid-summer heat returns to parts of the country. From the middle of next week, Götaland and southern Svealand can get up to 26 degrees warm.
Especially on Wednesday, but then it can be a few more days with warm air, says Toni Fuentes, meteorologist at SMHI.
It is warm air from southern Europe that makes a temporary visit to Sweden – although with slightly cooler temperatures. In the rest of Europe, for example, France can get temperatures of up to 36 degrees. There, an orange heat warning is expected to be issued in the middle of next week.
It will really get warm there, says Toni Fuentes.
In Sweden, it is difficult to say exactly where it will be warmest, but the forecast indicates that the northwestern parts of Götaland – Västergötland, Halland, and Dalsland – and the western parts of Småland will get the highest temperatures. There will be some clouds, and Toni Fuentes does not rule out the occasional rain shower. When it gets cooler again is difficult to say – but the heat can stay for the week.
The forecast is a bit uncertain, says Fuentes.
