An evening hearing on November 5 or an afternoon interrogation on November 11. These are the two alternatives for when the intended Swedish EU Commissioner Jessika Roswall (M) will be heard in the EU Parliament.
The committee chairmen have presented two alternative schedules for the hearings, depending on whether one wants to hear the nominees for the posts as vice presidents first or last. Which schedule will ultimately be chosen will be decided by the parliament's group leaders on Thursday.
Roswall is proposed to be responsible for the environment and water resilience. In both alternatives, she will be heard simultaneously with the Austrian Magnus Brunner being heard in another committee for his role as intended interior and migration commissioner.
The committee hearings will take place from November 5 to November 12.
