In an Instagram post on Wednesday, world star Swift took a stand for Democrat Harris in the American presidential election. She then urged her 283 million followers to watch and read everything they can about the presidential candidates' ideas.
Swift will vote for Harris because she "fights for rights and issues that need a defender", she writes, describing the presidential candidate as steady and talented.
Republican Trump told Fox News after that the artist "will probably have to pay a high price" for her stance.
Taylor Swift has been a red rag to Trump for several years. She has repeatedly criticized him and took a stand for the Democrats in both 2018 and 2020 ahead of the elections those years.
In 2018, Trump responded:
We can say that I like Taylor's music about 25 percent less now, okay?
Despite this, Trump appealed to Swift in February this year not to support Joe Biden, who was then expected to run in the autumn election. The reason was that it "would be disloyal to the man who made it possible for her to earn so much money".
He was referring to the legislation he pushed through to modernize copyright laws in 2018.
