After the tumultuous travel program with Per Morberg, TV profile Mauri Hermundsson is current with a new program. In "Sweden's dumbest" it's about being eliminated as soon as possible. This is the competition no one wants to win, says Mauri Hermundsson to TT.

”Mauri and Morberg – on a small journey” is a closed chapter and according to Mauri Hermundsson, calm has settled after the upsetting conflicts between the two TV personalities.

I have had time to recover so now I am on a new kick, he says.

In the new program ”Sweden's most foolish” he has the judging giant in competition TV, Björn Hellberg, by his side. In the program, you should leave the competition as soon as possible, so as not to appear unintelligent and uneducated.

”Sweden's most foolish” may sound like a tough, not to say merciless program format. In fact, the programs are characterized by a pleasant atmosphere with both warmth and kindness, claims Mauri Hermundsson.

Of course, more and more panic arises towards the end, because no one wants to be the one to lift that trophy with the donkey on it, says Mauri Hermundsson, referring to the prize that the "winner" is awarded.

Funny with flaws

Among the participants are Tiktok profile Tilda Törnqvist, photographer Bingo Rimér and TV personality Samir Badran. The couple Lotta Engberg and Mikael ”Soldoktorn” Sandström, between whom an internal competition arises, also compete in the program which is broadcast on TV4.

As a viewer, you should not be afraid to laugh, thinks Mauri Hermundsson.

It's fun when things go wrong.

Mauri Hermundsson highlights a personal favorite example:

It was when we asked what came first, the first or second world war, and one of the participants exclaimed ”Oh no, not history!”.

The winner is not given

To avoid winning, it's not enough to have general knowledge, the participants must also manage tricky challenges that require logical thinking. The outcome of the competition is not given.

It requires different types of smartness. Without revealing how it goes, I can say that those you might think will be eliminated early stay longer than you think.

”Sweden's most foolish” starts broadcasting on August 14.
