Justin Timberlake is said to have reached an agreement in the lawsuit where he is accused of drunk driving, according to a source with insight into the case to the news agency AP on condition of anonymity.

Timberlake was arrested on June 18 in Sag Harbor, located in the luxurious resort The Hamptons in the state of New York, suspected of drunk driving. He refused to take a breathalyzer test.

According to the source, Timberlake has agreed to plead guilty to a lesser offense than the original charge of driving under the influence.

The agreement is expected to be made public on Friday.

So far, the American artist has denied the allegations, and his lawyer has claimed that Timberlake was not intoxicated at the time.

Last month, Timberlake had his driver's license revoked in the state of New York due to his refusal to take the breathalyzer test.
