Already on June 27, the third and final season of the Emmy-winning Netflix series will be released.
Season two and three were filmed in one take but are divided into two viewing periods. The final episodes pick up where the second season left off and follow the main character Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) in his final battle to stop the secret organization that manipulates debt-ridden people to participate in deadly games for money.
And it will be bloody and brutal to the very end, according to Netflix, which promises to push the boundaries of suspense and drama and keep viewers glued to their TV screens.
The first season of "Squid Game" from 2021 was the most streamed series on Netflix of all time. The series received fourteen Emmy nominations and won six statuettes.
However, it took a long time for the scriptwriting of "Squid Game" creator Hwang Dong-hyuk, and it took over three years before the long-awaited sequel was ready.
