All Swedes who have digital mailboxes can expect to receive their tax return from today or at the latest by March 7.
Those who have not chosen a digital mailbox will, on the other hand, have to wait until the period of March 17–April 15, but last year, more than 5.8 million tax returns were sent out digitally.
The next date to keep track of is March 18 and April 2. The former is when you can declare your taxes at the earliest, the latter is perhaps even more important to keep track of.
It is namely then that you must have approved your tax return to receive any potential tax refund already in April.
This assumes, however, that no changes or additions are made to the tax return. Those who want more time to think should instead keep May 2 in mind. It is the last day if you do not have an extension to submit your tax return.
