Eva Rexed is awarded the Swedish Academy's theatre prize for this year. The prize amount is 100,000 kronor.
The actress and director Rexed has worked at the Cultural Centre City Theatre, the Royal Dramatic Theatre, and the Gothenburg City Theatre, as well as with independent theatres such as Moment and Theatre Brunnsgatan 4. She has also repeatedly been involved in the performances of the performing arts company Lumor.
The Swedish Academy's theatre prize has been awarded annually since 1963 to stage artists, directors, and dramatic writers. Among the recent recipients are Ann Petrén, Marie Göranzon, Peter Andersson, and Ada Berger.
