The sale of J D Vance's book "Hillbilly Elegy" is increasing since he was appointed as Donald Trump's vice presidential candidate earlier this week.
Online bookstore Adlibris tells Kulturnyheterna in SVT that they have noticed an increased demand for both the English and Swedish editions of the book, and the paperback edition has already sold out.
Small publishing house Dualis in Ludvika was the first to get a contract to publish the book in Swedish translation. On Tuesday, the publishing house received 43 orders for the book, which is many more than before, says owner Christer Skoog in Kulturnytt in Sveriges Radio.

"Hillbilly Elegy" has also reached the top spot on Amazon's bestseller list for books, and the film adaptation of the book is on the top list on Netflix.
"Hillbilly Elegy" was first published in 2016 and depicts Vance's upbringing in the Appalachian region in eastern USA.
