The population of Sölvesborg multiplied several times over during last year's Sweden Rock festival, according to new statistics from SCB.
The authority has investigated how the population of the country's municipalities changed during the summer months of 2023, and in several cases, a music festival contributed to population peaks.
In Sölvesborg, the peak was reached on one of the days of the Sweden Rock festival. On June 10, 2023, the population was four times larger compared to what it usually is.
In Malung-Sälen, the dansbandsveckan contributed to the population almost doubling during a few days in mid-July.
