Pelle Rådström, screenwriter for "Smärtpunkten", takes home the 2025 Nordic Series Script Award.
The prize, previously known as the Nordisk Film & TV Fond Prize, honors screenwriting in Nordic drama. The prize sum is 200,000 Norwegian kronor.
"Smärtpunkten" is based on Elisabeth Åsbrink's book of the same name about Lars Norén's controversial theater project "7:3".
"Inspired by a real tragedy, the film masterfully explores the consequences of good intentions gone wrong and challenges us to reflect on the fragility of democracy", writes the jury, among other things, in their motivation.
The prize was awarded on Tuesday evening at a ceremony at the Gothenburg Film Festival.
