It has an impact on the entire community building process, says Christina Thulin, expert in planning and building at SKR, to the newspaper.
The plan was to reopen the archive again in December, but on Wednesday, Lantmäteriet announced that the reopening would be postponed until next year. The closed archive primarily affects the municipalities' cases regarding building permits and detailed plans, as it takes longer to manually retrieve the documents.
It was in May this year that Lantmäteriet closed several of its digital services after it was discovered that confidential information could be retrieved from the authority without secrecy review, which Expressen revealed last week.
In Lantmäteriet's archive, there are detailed maps and information about all properties in Sweden, including military installations and protected objects.
