Electricity prices are soaring and now the Swedish electricity reserve is being put on standby. The oil-fired power plant Karlshamn is going into standby mode.
From Thursday morning, Svenska Kraftnät has asked the owner of Sweden's electricity reserve, Karlshamnsverket, to go on standby. Production is to be able to start within two hours' notice, according to a message from the electricity exchange Nord Pool.
