Among the most traded stocks on the OMXS30 list, the heat pump company Nibe performed the worst, minus 2.3 percent. The technology trading company Addtech and the major bank Nordea fell 1.6 and 1.5 percent, respectively.

At the other end of the scale, the defense group Saab is found with a plus of 2.1 percent ahead of the forest company SCA and Swedbank with 0.9 and 0.8 percent plus, respectively.

Nordea's decline is linked to the fact that the stock has been sold by the major bank Barclays.

Also on Wednesday, the Stockholm Stock Exchange fell slightly.

At the close in Stockholm, there were different bids on the larger European exchanges. Frankfurt was unchanged, London was slightly positive, while Paris had fallen back.

On Wall Street in New York, all three major indexes were slightly negative.

The oil price has risen slightly in recent days. A barrel of North Sea oil (brent) now costs $67.2.

The krona has fallen slightly during the day and one dollar costs 9.62 kronor and one euro costs 11.18 kronor.

In the cautious financial markets, the focus is on the speech by the American central bank chief Jerome Powell at the meeting in Jackson Hole on Friday and a possible statement on the direction of interest rates ahead.
