The forestry company Södra has decided on an investment of over 1.5 billion kronor in the sawmill in Kinda in Östergötland.

When the facility is fully completed in 2028, the capacity for sawn timber will increase by 50 percent, according to a press release.

"Södra is stronger with Kinda than without, and the alternative would have been a shutdown of the sawmill. We are now instead choosing to invest for our long-term competitiveness", says CEO Lotta Lyrå in a comment.
