The fluffy ball and the baby Pesto are just growing and growing – both in real life and on social media. But he is, after all, a king penguin.
Nine months old, Pesto already weighs 23.5 kilos, more than both his "foster parents" Hudson and Tango combined. And he still hasn't finished growing.
With a diet of 25 fish per day, he will become even larger in both height and width, according to Sea Life Aquarium in Melbourne, Australia, where Pesso was born in January.
At the same time, he's becoming a bigger star on social media. On Instagram, celebrities like Katy Perry are posting pictures of him, and on TikTok, he's a superstar.
But Pesto will have to enjoy his celebrity status while it lasts. Soon, he will be grown enough to lose his fluffy brown feather coat, and then, according to Sea Life, he will lose his appetite, become slimmer, and start blending in with the more normally grown penguins.
