Diego Maradona's body will be moved. The Argentine football legend, who is now buried in a private cemetery, will instead be placed in a mausoleum being built for him in the capital Buenos Aires.
It is Maradona's daughters who have requested this – and their wish has now been approved by an Argentine court. The mausoleum will be called the "M10 Memorial."
The same court that granted this will also handle the trial where eight healthcare staff are suspected of crimes in connection with Maradona's death.
Diego Maradona died in November 2020, 60 years old. He is considered one of the greatest football players of all time and is enormously loved in his home country Argentina.
