A 17-year-old boy was arrested at Malmö central station late on Wednesday evening. The teenager is now detained, suspected of preparing for murder.
A patrol checked the boy, which led to his arrest. We know from before that young people can travel longer distances and therefore it is interesting for us to be present at central stations, says police spokesperson Nils Norling.
In Malmö, we currently have an extra resource reinforcement from other parts of the region. This means that we have the opportunity to have more police officers around Malmö.
Recently, several young people have been arrested and detained in Malmö.
We have had at least seven teenagers who have either been arrested or taken into custody by social authorities. These are cases related to serious crime, says Norling.
