Sweden's tax exemptions for biogas and biofuels have been approved by the EU Commission, according to a press release.
Following a court ruling, the Commission has conducted a review of Sweden's tax exemption, which is now complete.
"This is a welcome message for all of Sweden's producers and users of biogas. After pressure from the government, the Commission finally initiated its review and I am glad that it is finally complete", says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson according to a press release from the government.
The Tax Authority and the government will analyze the decision, and then Swedish companies will be informed about how they can take advantage of retroactive and future tax exemptions.
