The Systembolaget on a total of eleven smaller localities has been hit by break-ins in recent months. The perpetrators have both cash and expensive drinks in their sights.

The first break-ins were made in Sölvesborg and Broby on Walpurgis Eve and since then it has continued throughout the summer. The affected stores are located in Halland, Skåne, Blekinge, Västergötland and Småland, reports SVT News Halland.

Several police regions are collaborating to catch the perpetrators, but it is too early to say whether it is the same individuals behind all the crimes, according to the police.

The police do not want to comment on the methods or what the thieves have gotten away with.

Generally speaking, in this type of break-in, it is often cash that is the primary target, but also more expensive and finer types of alcohol, says police spokesperson Nils Norling to SVT.
