The failure came to light in an internal review.
In a post on the agency's intranet, it states that "a number of work injury cases have not been reported to the Social Insurance Agency" during the period 2015-2024. This concerns a total of approximately 11,000 work injuries, according to the newspaper.
According to the post, "employees' sickness benefit in the event of sick leave in connection with a work injury" has not been affected.
Who bears the responsibility for the failure is unclear.
Lena Amorøe, national safety representative, has written a request to the employer for an action plan and emphasizes that the failure may affect insurance and sick leave.
We have understood that some employees have got serious problems due to this, she says to the newspaper.
