”The hunters have together and in consultation deliberately hunted a female bear and her accompanying yearlings. The female bear has been felled after which the hunt continued on her yearlings until one yearling has been felled”, says senior prosecutor Åse Schoultz in a press release from the Prosecution Authority.
The prosecutors believe that the crime should be assessed as gross as the hunt was conducted with cars in a way that exposed the animals to "undue suffering".
They also request that a skin from the yearling that has been found at home with one of the Norwegian hunters be confiscated.
