Taylor Swift has been awarded songwriter of the year at the American music gala BMI Pop Awards, writes Billboard.
The award has been given out since 1952 to honor songwriters and publishers behind the 50 most played songs in the US during the year.
Taylor Swift has now received a total of 65 awards from the American copyright organization. She has also been involved in the 10 most played songs of 2023, according to a compilation by BMI - including "Anti-hero", "Cruel Summer", "Lavender haze" and "Snow on the Beach".
Miley Cyrus, Gregory "Aldae" Hein and Michael Pollack took home the prize for song of the year, "Flowers", which is performed by Cyrus.
