Robert's foot has been a topic of discussion ahead of the European Championship, which begins next week. The Swedish star player injured her foot in the last club team match before the European Championship and sat out Saturday's training match against Poland.
On Sunday, it was time for a training match against Poland again – and then Robert was on the pitch. The match became much more even than the one on Saturday, which Sweden won with a crushing 38–22.
With one minute left, Poland equalized to 27–27. In the subsequent attack, Sweden could then take the lead 28–27 through Emma Lindqvist, and with one second left, Jessica Ryde saved a Polish shot and secured the win.
28–27 to Sweden in an even match in Lund. Robert scored four goals.
It feels okay. I've sprained my foot, but I don't feel limited. It's more about taking care of my foot after the match and between matches, she says to SVT.
Sweden plays its European Championship premiere on Thursday next week against North Macedonia. Then, Hungary and Turkey await. Sweden's matches will be played in Debrecen, Hungary.
There's a lot we can do better. At the same time, we also need to have matches where we don't perform and find ways to win. It's positive that we get to experience this and know what it is that makes us play good handball, says national team coach Tomas Axnér to SVT.
