This weekend, the Premier League begins.

Then, the clubs will hold a minute of silence for the late Liverpool player Diogo Jota, the league confirmed on Tuesday.

The Premier League has, in consultation with Liverpool, agreed on the most suitable way to honor Jota, who died in a car accident along with his brother in Spain in July. In addition to a minute of silence before kickoff, players in all clubs will wear black armbands.
