With less than two months to go until the handball European Championship, Swedish star Nina Koppang has undergone surgery on a damaged meniscus, and the right-back now looks set to miss the championship, reports Radiosporten.
It's very doubtful that she'll be able to participate, it's very difficult for her to be ready in time, says national team coach Tomas Axnér.
The handball European Championship gets underway on November 28 and takes place in Austria, Hungary, and Switzerland.
