The Swedish ice hockey goalkeeper Jacob Markström is being traded by his NHL club Calgary. The club confirms this on its website.
Markström's new club address will be New Jersey Devils.
In exchange, Calgary receives the defender Kevin Bahl, as well as New Jersey's draft pick in the first round either in 2025 or 2026.
"We thank Jacob for his professionalism and understanding of this decision at this stage of his career," says Calgary's general manager Craig Conroy to the club's website.
New Jersey, like Calgary, missed the Stanley Cup playoffs this season.
