Toronto extends with its superstar John Tavares – and rewards him with a contract worth nearly 166 million kr. The Canadian will now stay in the club for another four years.

The center was selected as number one by New York Islanders in 2009 and signed with Toronto in 2018. He has made a total of 1,114 points in 1,184 matches in NHL and also won an Olympic Games gold with Canada in 2014.
