The Swedish author and poet Linnea Axelsson has a chance to win the National Book Award, one of the USA's most prestigious literary prizes.
Axelsson is nominated in the category for translated literature for the novel "Ædnan", which gave her the August Prize in the fiction class in 2018. The winner will be announced in November.
The verse story "Ædnan" is about two Sami families from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day.
