It should both go towards recruiting 20 extra employees under 2025 and towards developing the technology and speeding up the work with secrecy testing of cases, says Infrastructure Minister Andreas Carlson (KD).

It was in November last year that Expressen revealed that defense secrets and protected personal data risked leaking from the National Land Survey's e-service.

Since the digital archive service was shut down in May 2024, the processing times for issuing documents have increased enormously and to address this, the authority is now receiving extra funding in the government's spring amending budget.

The National Land Survey itself has a goal of issuing documents within 48 hours. I want to emphasize that it is urgent that this work is done with haste since the entire construction sector needs this information, says Carlson.
