It's a car that has exploded in a carport, said Kalle Kivistö, alarm and command officer at the rescue service, to GP shortly after the incident.
Several alarms came in at 6 am from residents who heard a loud bang. According to the police, no one was physically injured, but there is material damage to several parked cars.
The area was cordoned off and residents in the vicinity were not allowed to leave their properties.
Just before 9 am, the national bomb squad was on site, which was then deemed safe.
The incident is being investigated as reckless endangerment and a crime against the law on flammable and explosive goods.
