A suspected dangerous object was found in central Hjo early on Thursday morning.
According to the police, it was a security officer who found the object at the entrance to the town hall. The person believed it could be a smoke grenade and contacted the police, who in turn contacted the national bomb squad.
Just before 12 o'clock, the police announced that the object had been secured, reports P4 Skaraborg.
We loaded it into our vehicle and drove it to Gothenburg, where it will be examined. Thus, the danger is over, says Thomas Fuxborg, press spokesperson for the police to the channel.
There is no information that anyone has been injured.
The police have initiated an investigation into gross unlawful threats against a group.
