It was at seven o'clock on Monday morning that the police found the first suspected object on a facade of a store. The police arrived at the scene after a tip from an employee who alerted them.
The store is located on the ground floor of an apartment building and the object is against the facade, says Sara Andersson, press spokesperson for the police in Region South.
After the national bomb squad arrived at the scene, the police could soon confirm that more than one object was present at the scene. Three objects are considered sharp, the police announced at 10 am.
A VMA (Important Message to the Public) has been issued to the public with requests to stay away from the cordoned-off area. Residents of the affected building and neighboring buildings are advised to stay indoors with windows and doors closed. There are many apartment buildings in the area.
It's easy to get curious, but you should stay away from windows, says Sara Andersson.
