The police have been alerted about a suspected dangerous object in Vasastan in Gothenburg.
We have set up barriers. It's a frozen situation until we have formed a better understanding of what type of object this is, says the police's press spokesperson Jens Andersson.
The barriers have been set up on a cross street to Vasagatan.
The National Bomb Protection Unit has been called to the scene. Residents who are inside the barriers are urged to stay indoors, writes the police on their website.
The police were alerted at 20:50 on Tuesday.
It's someone passing by who sees this object and contacts the police, says Jens Andersson.
