At 10:40, the police announced that the national bomb squad had disarmed the explosive device and secured the area.

A preliminary investigation into attempted public endangerment and gross unlawful threats has been initiated.

The police were alerted to the scene shortly after 9 am due to the suspected dangerous object, and a large area was cordoned off.

The national bomb squad is on site. They are assessing that it is a dangerous object and that it may be live, said police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg to TT.

In connection with the suspected object, there are several other businesses in addition to the car dealership – these were either evacuated or locked down depending on their distance to the object.

No one is currently suspected of being involved in the incident.
