A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder of a man of the same age in Gävle, the police write on their website.
The alarm about an injured man in central Gävle came in just before 8 am. The man was taken to hospital with unclear injuries. Shortly thereafter, the woman, who is acquainted with the man, was apprehended outdoors.
Some kind of object has been used against the body, but no firearm, says Linda Winge, RLC commander for police region Mitt, to Gefle Dagblad.
According to the newspaper, the suspected attempted murder was preceded by a quarrel.
Just before 3 pm, it was announced that the woman had been arrested.
