Two men were shot on Friday outside Örebro mosque after the Friday prayer. One of them, a man in his 25-year-old age died of his injuries. The other was hit but his injuries are not considered life-threatening.
On Monday, another person was arrested suspected of aiding and abetting the murder.
The police emphasized early on that they did not see any connection to the mosque or its activities, but rather to gang crime.
We are aware of these people who have been shot. The picture I have is that it is targeted at either one of them or both, said Roberto Eid Forest, local police area manager in Örebro, to TT on Friday.
