A man who has been detained since May, suspected of murdering a woman in Jönköping, has been released, reports SVT News Jönköping.
The decision is based on new information in the autopsy report, according to prosecutor Heléne Thomasson.
The woman was found severely injured in an apartment in central Jönköping at the end of May and later died at the hospital. The prosecutor does not want to disclose exactly what information has led to the release of the suspected man.
I'm not going to say anything about what information it is, but can only state that the suspicion against the man has weakened and that there is no longer reason to detain him, she says to SVT.
